Null screens by refraction and RGB light applied to the formation of images from a photographic portrait.
Abstract
In this interdisciplinary research, the scientific knowledge of optics and the propagation of light in space has been recovered, to generate a sequence of images that can be applied in different ways in pieces of an audiovisual, scenic, sculptural, immersive or digital. The idea of retaking photography, specifically a portrait, meets a proposal that raises the possibility of achieving the reconfiguration of a photographic image with the use of tools directly related to it, such as optical systems and light. The theoretical and experimental formula has its foundations in the study and application of the method known as null screens, which in the field of physics are used to evaluate optical aberrations, in this work we have used this method to work with a photographic portrait, originally made in grayscale. In order to achieve new visualization narratives with the implementation of optics and light, in this case RGB (red, green, blue).
